Talents

Talent changes vs Classic Era

Every class has three trees. These tables list talents by name that exist in Forever but not in Classic Era (added) and the reverse (removed). A talent that kept its name but was retuned is not captured here; open the class calculator for current numbers. Moved talents changed row, column or max rank.

FAQ

Where are the official WoW Forever patch notes?+

Blizzard keeps a running changelog on the forums called "WoW Forever Beta Development Notes", last updated November 2. We found no separate 1.60.1 patch-notes article on news.blizzard.com. Open the thread.

What is the current WoW Forever build?+

Trackers call 1.60.1.70790 the launch client, and it is the newest build on wago.tools as of 2026-11-05. Blizzard has not confirmed the number, so treat it as unconfirmed. Our talent data is pinned to build 1.60.1.70790.

Did Blizzard change talents between beta and launch?+

Trackers reported 133 talents or spells changed in build 70755. That figure is unconfirmed. Our diff compares launch talents with Classic Era, not beta with launch, so it shows what is different from the game you may remember.

What is the difference between your table and the talent calculator?+

The table lists talent names that were added or removed. The talent calculator shows full descriptions, ranks and positions for the pinned build.

Why did dungeon XP change so many times?+

Blizzard first cut kill XP in dungeons and raised dungeon quest XP, then moved party XP back to Classic Era behaviour (dev notes, November 2). Expect the numbers to keep moving; see the leveling guide.

Will you list every hotfix?+

No. We link the official thread and summarise the changes that affect leveling, talents and playing with friends. For line-by-line diffs, unofficial trackers such as foreverchanges.pro exist; they are not Blizzard sources.
